EMERGENCY APPEAL
Afghanistan Earthquake Response
Since 31 August, a series of three powerful earthquakes has devastated communities in eastern Afghanistan, with more than 2,000 lives lost and thousands injured. Families have been left without homes, food, or clean water, and the risk of exploitation and abuse has risen sharply. Hagar’s team in Kabul is safe and actively responding, working with local leaders to deliver urgent relief, shelter, and protection for the most vulnerable. Your support today will help provide life-saving assistance and trauma care to survivors.
Hagar’s team in Kabul is safe and already working alongside local networks, community leaders, and emergency services to respond. In coordination with local leaders and national agencies, our team will:
Provide emergency relief to 300 of the most vulnerable families, including food, blankets, and hygiene kits.
Distribute 100 family tents for immediate shelter and safety.
Establish safe spaces and family support activities to help children cope with trauma.
Work with communities to strengthen protection and safeguarding, preventing exploitation and abuse.
